Stable prices
As you know, fuel prices have been very high for several months, and the trend, unfortunately, is not decreasing. And it is not for nothing that specialists offer to increase prices, much to the chagrin of drivers. And this despite the fact that the government still refuses to pay a check of 100 euros, explaining that the prices at gas stations are not yet high enough. And this is even if they continued to climb for several months. But now the situation is starting to improve a littlethere is a lull. Indeed, according to calculations by Fig Data du Figaro, based on public data from the Ministry of Energy, prices at pumping stations are stabilizing. This situation arises in a difficult economic context, which was marked by inflation of about 5% in 2023. Thus, a liter of unleaded 98 is quoted at €1.9266, a slight increase of 5 cents since the beginning of the year.

Oil is still high
The same for unleaded 95, of which a liter now costs 1.8765 euros. For its part, E10 rose slightly to 1.8424 euros. What about diesel? The latter now costs 1,832 euros and is getting a little cheaper. Over the year, the price of SP-98 fell by 2%, and SP-95 – by 1.9%. For its part, E10 became cheaper by 1.8%, and diesel became more expensive by 0.6%. If prices remain relatively stable, we must not forget that oil is still quite high: hovering around $82 a barrel. Despite this turbulence, the price of black gold has fallen sharply since this fall, largely due to concerns about the Chinese economy. Remember that from March 1, 2023 until the end of the year, prices for diesel fuel and gasoline at the group’s gas stations are limited to 1.99 euros. TotalEnergies. It is enough to offset the payment of the fuel cheque, which the government plans to abolish forever.
