Hypercar this year?

An all-new Porsche hypercar will be announced soon. It is expected that the decision on the serial version of the Porsche Mission X concept will be implemented during the current year. It’s possible that the next Porsche, destined to be the fastest ever, will get the green light in the coming months!
According to the latest information, production is expected to begin in 2024, ushering in a new era of electric mobility. Thus, in addition to the electric models already offered, Porsche’s electric offer will be expanded with a diverse range, including electric SUVs, two electric sports cars, as well as hybrid versions of the iconic 911.

Porsche in electric mode: what you need to know

Porsche CEO Oliver Blume recently shared with Carsales the German brand’s plans for a new hypercar fully electric. He noted that the final decision on this project will be made in the coming months. Blum emphasized that the presented concept already demonstrated the intended technology, and that the positive feedback received during the celebration of the brand’s 75th anniversary was a great source of motivation to advance this project.
The executive emphasized that a feasibility study is an important prerequisite for any project, while maintaining that Porsche’s ongoing goal is to deliver premium performance.

Electricity in action

Mission X, which was destined to become the fastest production Porsche never built, runs solely on electricity. Porsche unveiled the concept around mid-2023, but details on the production model have remained limited. However, we do know that this vehicle uses a four-motor electric drivetrain and runs on a 900V electrical architecture. Estimated power varies 1500 and 2000 hp, with a measured weight that should not exceed 1500 kg thanks to the massive use of carbon. Waiting to discover it in broad daylight, this information still needs to be confirmed.
Of course, this Mission X ranks above the Porsche Taycan. In addition to much more power, it should be able to charge faster, while offering acceptable autonomy despite the many accelerations it will undergo.
