Inspired by the Duster?
The beloved brand of its affordable cars, Dacia, is looking forward to it as it prepares to unveil an all-new version of its small Spring electric car at the Geneva International Motor Show.
The first glimpses of the Dacia Spring were revealed on Dacia’s Instagram page, where the familiar silhouette of the small electric city car can be seen. Although the proportions remain true to the previous generationlikely body tweaks, including a new front end, give the Spring a more polished look.
As for the interior, changes are expected for the new Spring, probably inspired by the new Duster. While the teaser doesn’t reveal much, speculations suggest major improvements in the infotainment department, possibly digital instrumentation more modern and more connected than before.
New platform
However, the real revolution will take place under the hood, because the new Dacia Spring will be based on the CMF-AEV platform. Although specific details regarding the engine and battery upgrades are currently unknown, it is believed that the Spring will perform better than its predecessor, providing increased range to meet the needs of drivers.
These assumptions are only hypotheses, as the Romanian manufacturer remains completely silent about its car. More information will be available on February 21, when the spring news will be officially released. The Dacia Spring will need to remain competitive in a market where more and more affordable electric cars are appearing, and in a few years competitors such as the Renault Twingo are expected.
Automakers are rushing into this growing segment, underscoring the importance of Spring’s competitiveness in this competitive environment.
