
A new anti-theft solution
Nissan wants to improve the peace of mind of its customers by launching a new functionality stolen car tracker, thanks to the NissanConnect Services app. The service will initially launch in the UK in February 2024, and may later expand to other European markets.

The SVT (Stelen Vehicle Tracking) service is available through a Monthly subscription : allows you to monitor and geolocation of Nissan carsthanks to GPS system taken on board. Models compatible with this service are the Nissan Ariya and Nissan Qashqai, manufactured from June 2022, as well as the X-Trail, manufactured from September 2022.
Nissan: built-in tracker
Customers can check if their vehicle can be fitted with stolen vehicle tracking by visiting the ShopNissanConnect Services app : If their vehicle is compatible, they will be able to activate the tracking service within 12 monthsfor subscription 99 euros.
The assistance platform, operated by Nissan partner Vodafone Automotive, will work with law enforcement in the event of a car theft to enable them to track the vehicle and organize its recovery. At the request of the police, the operator can remotely turn off the vehicle’s ignition to facilitate the immobilization and recovery of the vehicle.
The service offers many benefits to users such as 24/7 support in case of theft, one-click activation via the NissanConnect Services app, instant notifications if the vehicle has been towed or stolen without the owner’s knowledge, with a multi-step guide to start vehicle recovery, cross-border assistance thanks to the European network to cooperate with law enforcement agencies to share geolocation information or even remotely turn off the ignition of the car to facilitate its immobilization, at the request of the police.
The NissanConnect Services app allows a lot connected functions such as remote horn and light control, remote locking or unlocking, vehicle location, remote climate control, vehicle condition monitoring, and driving history and analysis.
