Cock-a-doodle Doo! THE Renault Rafale bears the name a the famous fighter, very local. Fortunately, SUV Renault Coupe requires a much smaller budget than its reactor-based namesake. Let’s summarize together.
Two levels of configuration
Not surprising since the Renault Rafale, which has been announced as such for some time, has (See below) with a only motorization. Namely, the block Full hybrid E-Tech 200 hp But in the absence of several options to put under the hood, the Diamond brand is equipping its new Rafale two configurations.
The first is based on processing ” Techno“. Offered from €45,000, the entry-level Rafale, nevertheless, claims to be richly equipped. And this is standard. At this price, the Rafale has, among other things, Alloy wheels 20 incheswith adaptive headlights LED, instrument panel/center screen combination 12-inch Open’R each, with a rear view camerawith a adaptive regulator or even two-zone air conditioner.
In addition to this equipment, the Renault Rafale in Techno trim offers a fairly significant list parameters. As full steering 4Control Advanced (1500 €) or even sulphurous Solarbay opaque glass roof (1500 euros).
A line higher in the hierarchy is the Rafale high-class “Alpine Spirit”. This level of processing requires a minimum budget, which will obviously be higher with entry-level prices in 49,000 euros. If most of the differences between the Techno and Esprit Alpine cover only aesthetic ordersbut the high-end version of the Renault Rafale offers the driver and passengers standard equipment heated front seatsand fabric/Alcantara upholsteryAND motorized trunk hatch and full steering 4Control.
However, even the Esprit Alpine trim does not include a standard tinted glass roof. As for the initial level, you will need to put your own put your hands in your wallet and add €1,500 in addition to the final bill.
The nearest deliveries
As part of the first Renault Rafale orders, early customers can expect – according to Renault – deliveries of their SUV Coupé by next summer. Of course, this is approximate, but the French manufacturer does not provide any additional details.
On the other hand, Renault tells us that the end of 2024 (again, without going into details), the Rafale will be equipped with a second engine. It will be a the so-called “high-performance” version of the E-Tech with 300 horsepower, all-wheel drive. This version will be equipped with a additional electric motor on the rear axle and win special chassis settings.
At the time of writing, no information is known about the price, even an estimate, of this variation.
The fact remains: in the mainstream SUV coupe market, it’s a safe bet that this Renault Rafale will find a place of choice in a segment that is still (too) rare.
Unless future Peugeot E-3008Invoice in 39,990 euros except for the 210 hp Allure option. (38,490 euros in the hybrid) I 41,990 euros for the high class in GT trim don’t come and redistribute the cards…
