Is it more careful?
He wants to replace it with electric models that are considered cleaner and take care of the planet. But do drivers accept these arguments? To find out, the Korean manufacturer Kia turned to the polling institute YouGov. And now the results of this new study have just been published. In November 2023, two representative samples of German drivers were interviewed. Members of one group have at least purely electric car in their homes, while those in the other group only have internal combustion engines (including hybrids). According to the authors of the study, the answer to the question of whether electric car drivers are actually more environmentally conscious can be clearly and unequivocally yes. Indeed, the surveyed electric motorists also attach more importance to respect for the environment in many areas.
Sensitive drivers
However, not everything is rosy here either. And they are not for nothing would also fly more often, prefer to buy products made from animal skins and are just as different from thermal car drivers when it comes to meat consumption and avoiding plastic waste. The study shows that people with the highest incomes are particularly well represented among EV drivers. Almost half of those who reported net household income earn more than 4,000 euros per month, compared to only 31% of owners of thermal models. Finally, when asked if they would describe their lifestyle as green, 69% of EV drivers said yes or mostly. Additionally, 69% of EV drivers say they have purchased at least one used product in the past twelve months, compared to just 53% of internal combustion engine owners.
