Certain social protests in France are taking on a scale that we did not even imagine in their infancy. This was especially true of the discontent of the “yellow vests”, whose demands were mainly centered around the cost of living, which had become too high due to too high fuel prices.
This is followed by regular strikes aimed at the “symbols” of what we might call the “racket” of the state, and the most characteristic of these symbols, it’s definitely an automatic radar.
Radars target farmers
If you’ve been following the news closely, you certainly haven’t missed the anger of farmers in France. The latter recently intensified their actions, in addition to highway closures, speed cameras are also targeted.
Several fixed and mobile radars have been disabled in recent days, particularly in the Haute-Vienne department, where some say all radars in the area were compromised and deactivated on the night of January 17-18.
A movement that will spread throughout France?
In a new action north of the Seine-Marne, several radars were covered with plastic film on the night of January 22-23 by the Coordinating Union of the Seine-Marne (CR77). Such operations may extend to other regions, such as blocking roads, and some demonstrators are even considering blocking the capital.
It will be recalled that farmers are protesting against the new rules imposed on their profession, in particular due to disagreements over the taxation of agricultural diesel fuel (GNR). A bill on the subject, originally scheduled to be considered by the Council of Ministers this week, was delayed for several weeks, adding to farmers’ frustration.
