Manufacturer of luxury cars Bugatti it took over 7 years to complete production 500 copies Chiron.
Bugatti Chiron: 500 copies and none more
It will be recalled that the hypercar produced by Molsheim was presented at the exhibition Geneva Motor Show in 2016 year. Then success was not long in coming. As of December, less than 10 months after the announcement 220 copies was ordered despite its base price 2.4 million euros. In 2017, 300 of the 500 Chirons were ordered. Only in January 2022 the order book was finally closed.
And at the beginning of the year, this is the last copy of the “standard” Bugatti Chiron, which was delivered to a Canadian customer.
Latest special copy for Canadian customer
Bugatti presents photos of the last Chiron to roll off the assembly line. This is a classic option, with a block W16 8.0 l quad turbines under development 1500 hp AND 1600 Nm.
We will remind, the French supercar is able to achieve 420 km/h in this “standard” version and accelerates to 200 km/h in just 6.1 seconds. Traditional exercise from 0 to 100 km/hwhich reveals little about the characteristics of such a car, is sent to 2.1 sec.
The last copy intended for a customer in Canada has gone through Bugatti workshop for individual personalization. In its Nocturne color, the supercar also has some hints of copper. These notes of copper cover the side arch, the back edge, the “EB” emblems and the veil of the rims. We also find the number 16 on the radiator grille, which is a reminder of the number of cylinders in the engine.
The end of the Chiron era and the W16
Over the course of eight years, Bugatti offered several versions of the Chiron.
In addition to the basic model, we have versions of Sport, Sport “110 ans Bugatti”, Sport “Legends of the sky”, Chiron Super Sport 300+ (1600 hp), or Pur Sport and Super Sport versions.
But that’s not all. To satisfy the wishes of their extremely wealthy customers, Molsheim also produced unique models! Among them we can name the famous ” Black car“, presented in Geneva in 2019. Not forgetting other derivative models such as Centodiecithere Miracle or even W16 Mistral.
With this latest example, a big page opens in the automotive industry. In addition to several W16 Mistrals yet to be produced, this ultimate ‘classic’ Chiron marks the end of an era. Indeed, this is the last model equipped with Bugatti’s majestic W16.
In a few months, the Chiron replacement will be introduced before production, scheduled for 2016!
