Did you dream of a flying car? Perhaps a Chinese company has finally developed it.
Company Xpeng Aeroht actually just opened it CES 2024 in Las Vegasa car that may well become the first real flying car.
Vehicle 2 in 1
Her name ? THE Ground aircraft carrier. There are actually two modules behind this innovative concept: one land vehicle and a small 100% flying machine. The latter allows you to enrich the travel experience by exploring other places that are not accessible by road.
A car with an autonomous air module entered the phase of preparation for mass production, the latter passed all key tests! On the other hand, the final design has not yet been established, but it resembles the awkward lines of the Tesla Cybertruck.
The ground module can accommodate up to five passengers, equipped with a electric motorization with extended autonomy. The chassis has a three-axle configuration and six wheels for 6×6 all-wheel drive. The rear wheels are also steered to maximize the machine’s maneuverability.
The flight module integrated into the all-terrain vehicle is a small all-electric aircraft. It is capable of vertical takeoff and low-altitude flight. Equipped with an electric propulsion system that meets fail-safe standards, it offers manual and automatic driving modes with double cockpit panoramic, offering a field of view extended to 270°.

With more than a decade of low-altitude research, Xpeng Aeroht positions itself as a pioneer in the evolution of flying cars from the realm of fantasy to reality. With plans to expand its presence in ten new European markets in 2024, including the UK, Italy and France, the company is also announcing an increase in the number of its vehicles to meet the growing demand.
The Chinese company also announced the possibility of pre-ordering a ground-based aircraft carrier scheduled for late 2024.
A second flying car?
But that’s not all. AND second car this time the flight was also presented. It’s called a supercar Xpeng Aeroht eVTOL, which has all the characteristics of a sports car. Except the built-in propellers deploy to literally take off!
At the push of a button, four levers extend to lift the car off the ground. Here is the beast on video:

According to Tang Wang, co-founder and vice president of Xpeng Aeroht, the project began in 2013 with an ambitious promise: to go from driving on the road to flying in the air in minutes.
There is currently no information on pricing or availability for this hybrid machine. Brian Gu Hongdi, president of Xpeng, suggested that it could be launched before regulations on its use are introduced. But there is nothing to prevent customers from getting one and flying in areas where the use of aircraft is not regulated.
