At the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, Lamborghini presented a technology that should delight its customers: Telemetry. This on-board telemetry system promises to revolutionize the driving experience on the track with technology taken directly from the competition.

The history of this on-board system dates back to 2020, when the Huracán STO was launched, marking Lamborghini’s first steps towards integrating telemetry into its road models. The car was equipped with a system that could be controlled via the Unica app. Not bad, but overall the system was pretty simple.

Training in real time

Telemetry X goes much further and creates an immersive driving experience on the track. Developed in collaboration with Accenture, the system consists of three key elements: a real-time remote garage, a biometrics system and a digital co-pilot.

Real Time Remote Garage is a web application that uses 5G technology and offers drivers instant access to real-time video footage of their track performance and detailed telemetry. Coaches located anywhere in the world can monitor the driver’s actions live, providing feedback and suggestions not only after the driving session, but also during it.

At the same time, the biometric data system monitors the driver’s heart rate and stress level using a smart watch. This data serves as a reference to help the driver improve his training.

A virtual partner in your Lamborghini

Digital Co-Pilot complements this synergy by acting as a proactive voice assistant. By analyzing biometric and vehicle data, it provides real-time feedback to the driver as he moves around the track. By providing analytics on lap times, racing lines and braking points, Digital Co-Pilot becomes a kind of partner.

This system will be integrated directly into the new Revuelto brand hybrid supercar.
