This year, the French automotive equipment manufacturer presents its latest mobility innovations, including the system Air charging Valeo Ineez : a solution for wireless charging of electric vehicles.

In the growing electric vehicle market, Valeo wants to offer its efficient and lightweight solution that makes this possible charge an electric car using induction, and therefore do without a charging cable. In fact, charging with a cable can quickly become a real headache, especially at public charging stations where you have to identify yourself in advance and plug in the cable if it’s compatible with the terminal.

Valeo Ineez Air Charging: an affordable and comprehensive solution

Valeo Ineez Air Charging is the only solution for wireless vehicle charging that uses an ultra-low operating frequency: approx. 3 kHz. This makes it possible to offer a unique charging experience, with simpler and easier system : in fact, Ineez Air Charging reduces its weight by 50% compared to other systems.

The system includes a simplified electronic architecture, which enables it to offer users an affordable solution, providing high efficiency with a loss level of less than 10%. Valeo Ineez air charging was the subject of more than 25 patent applicationswhich cover hardware and software without forgetting mechatronics.

The Valeo Ineez Air Charging system is both universal and complete, allowing it to satisfy all customer needs: it is compatible with all models of electric carsincluding with 400 or 800 V batteries, as well as wall boxes and networks (single-phase or three-phase) in all countries.

A system to meet all needs

Valeo also promises compatibility with V2G function (Vehicle-to-Grid) on solutions with power from 7 to 22 kW, which allows energy to be returned to the local power grid. In addition, this solution can be installed in all places of use, public (streets, parking lots, shopping malls, etc.) or private (home, office, etc.).

Valeo Ineez Air Charging can be connected to an existing wall box or connected directly to the network with all the necessary safety and communication systems between the car and the user. Numerous uses can be imagined, including future possibilities such as management autonomous cars recharging on an induction charging system.
