Car theft is common in France, with an average car being stolen every two minutes in the country. The number is particularly high, especially given that used vehicles are now very expensive and therefore bring great resale profits. But new cars are also in high demand, as recently confirmed by several thefts committed at the Stellantis plant located in Poissy. But today we tell you about another case, just as unusual, if not more so. Because this time the method is particularly bold.

A bold way
This story happened in Miramas, a famous town in Bouches du Rhône. Recently, several luxury cars were stolen from a logistics agency there. But how is this possible? We explain everything to you, and you will very easily understand how the thieves achieved their goals. And all this without violence and hacking. But how is this possible? Well, it’s simple. The latter introduced themselves to the companies as carriers who were supposed to come to pick up the vehicles. They then presented fake purchase orders that were very realistic and confusing.
Heavy damage
Thus, the company’s employees were deceived and gave the keys to the car without any questions. The thieves then simply had to leave and never return. In total, at least 25 luxury cars were stolen during this period. from October 15 to 25. All for a loss of about one million euros. The thieves have not yet been found, but according to the prosecutor of Aix-en-Provence, they risk being convicted of “organized group fraud” and “criminal association”.
