The new Lancia Ypsilon continues to be revealed gradually, piece by piece, in anticipation of a world premiere in February 2024. Today it’s time to show the rear of the car, adding to the front part and part of the interior, images of which were published in recent days.

Once again we find elements already seen on the Pu+Ra HPE concept seen a few months ago, a prototype responsible for anticipating the lines and details that will characterize all future Lancias.

Echoes of the past

Well, actually, we already saw the Lancia Ypsilon in full a few weeks ago, especially after this incredible story with the theft of the prototype that ended up at the bottom of the lake. The story can also be found on Auto Plus.

Still, more officially, Lancia continues to get rid of its model. We can now observe its round taillights with a ‘Y’-shaped light signature reminiscent of the Lancia Stratos, the rally icon of the 1970s that won multiple world championships.

We also notice Lancia’s new typography design revealed at the launch of the new logo. Below this logo we find the inscription “Ypsilon”, also with a new typeface inspired by the one used for the Fulvia, Flavia and Flaminia.

Technical cousin of the Peugeot 208

We already know that it will be around 4 meters long, that it will be available in an electric version (the first to be launched) and also with micro-hybrid engines via the 1.2-liter PureTech from Stellantis, which will develop 136 hp. The car will be based on the CMP platform, same as Peugeot 208 and other Jeep Avenger.

From Pr+Ra, the HPE Ypsilon 2024 will not only inherit some exterior details, but also elements inside, such as the front tablet placed at the level of the center console and the new SALA infotainment system announced in a teaser released a few days ago.
