With a Christmas tree, a gift and deer, Santa’s sleigh is inseparable from the magic of Christmas. This legendary vehicle, Santa’s faithful companion on his Christmas journey, is always presented in a whimsical way. Traditionally, it is a kind of flying cart mounted on skis, which is pulled by several reindeer. It takes at least that much to deliver gifts to the whole Earth and throw them down the pipes. Well, that’s the story/fairy tale aspect, but let’s get down to business… Every year, car manufacturers or industry specialists double your imagination bring your own interpretation of modern sleds, but not always the most practical!

The Christmas sleigh saga among automakers

Two years ago, Fiat has personalized its legendary Punto into a funny red and white car, topped with a gift box on the roof and screen printed in the colors of the famous Italian patisserie: a Christmas treat. In 2020, Lexus got its hands dirty by offering a funny car mounted on skis with a very innovative design. If we go back to 2018, Dodge has transformed its legendary Challenger Hellcat deliver gifts in a flash, very original. And this year? The vehicle in question is light years away from the sled philosophy. Neither light, nor aerodynamic, nor compact to fit everywhere, nor inconspicuous to be seen by mere mortals…

Mercedes G-class for Santa!

I represent you Mercedes G-Class Santa Claus! This unusual creation that actually exists is the fruit of Vodiff, a French high-end car retailer based in Strasbourg. He had fun turning a Mercedes-AMG G63 4X4 in “Santa’s Truck”: The rooftop gallery now holds about ten presents! And we are sure that 585 horsepower 4.0 twin-turbo V8 will be more than enough for the December 25 tour. It can also go over ruts with ease thanks to its 35cm ground clearance, four-wheel drive and a light bar above the windscreen! It will soon be put up for sale on Vodiff…when Santa Claus returns the keys, of course…
