THE social leasing was one of Emmanuel Macron’s big promises: to make electric mobility accessible to as many French people as possible by encouraging manufacturers to offer an electric model for 100 euros a month for long-term rental, also called “leasing” in English.
The government has unveiled models available through social leasing, but designed for the most modest households. Group Stellantis has an extensive offer available through social leasing, with 8 electric models from the brands Citroën, Fiat, Jeep, Opel and Peugeot, offered from €54 per month and available from 1 January 2024.
Social leasing: suitable models at Stellantis
It is in Citroën that we will find the most affordable model: the new one Citroën ë-C3 will actually be displayed at a rate of 54 euros per month, in the social leasing system. For families ë-C4 costs from 129 euros per month.
Fiat also offers an interesting offer on Fiat 500 electric, with social leasing of 89 euros per month. At the end of 2024, Fiat will also offer another small affordable electric car, whose environmental score should make it eligible for the environmental bonus and social leasing.
In Jeep,Avenger The 100% electric car, recognized as the car of 2023, will be available from 149 euros per month.
As for the Opel brand, access to it is provided by social leasing Opel Corsa Electric for 94 euros per month, but also for a Mokka Electric 119 euros per month.
Finally, Peugeot has something new Peugeot E-208 billed at 99 euros, while e-2008 offered from 149 euros per month.
Used cars are also suitable
Stellantis also reports that exactly recent used vehicles of its multi-brand label Spoticar (less than 42 months) will also be eligible to participate in the system. This social leasing offer will be financed by Stellantis Bank Finance and Services, including insurance (death, disability and job loss).
