THE Lexus UX is one of the Japanese manufacturer’s bestsellers in Europe: in 2024, its range will receive some new features, including a new hybrid engine with self-chargingin addition to its 100% electric version of the UX 300e, which of course remains in the catalog.

Christened UX 300 h, this new hybrid engine will replace the UX 250h version and will still consist of a 2.0-liter inline-4 engine and two electric motors. On the other hand, the power increased by 8%, i.e. from 184 to 199 horsepower, but that’s not all. The nickel metal hydride battery is replaced by a new battery 60-cell, 222-volt lithium-ion, more powerful and efficient.

Lexus UX 300h (2024): new hybrid engine

At the rear, models equipped with the e-Four AWD system have a new electric motor permanent magnet that is 5.6 times more powerful: its power varies from 7 horsepower to 41 horsepower, enough to improve performance. THE from 0 to 100 km/h is actually carried out in 8.1 seconds on the front-wheel drive version (0.4 seconds better), and in 7.9 seconds on the all-wheel drive version (0.8 seconds less).

Lexus also claims a 12% reduction in fuel consumption, averaging 4.7 to 5.0L/100km for the front-wheel drive UX and 5.0 to 5.4L/100km for the AWD UX. WLTP mixed cycle. The all-wheel drive UX 300h also benefits from a more stable behaviorespecially when cornering or braking, thanks to the recalibrated torque distribution.

Novelties in assortment

The Lexus UX line is enriched with the appearance of new equipment: new 12.3-inch digital cockpit is now available as an option, and the 8-inch multimedia touchscreen has been updated. The steering wheel has been modified to include Driver monitor camerato constantly monitor the driver’s state of alertness, while a dematerialized digital key in the user’s smartphone is now offered as an option.

System Lexus+ security system enriched with new functions: a proactive driving assistance system, automatic rear flashing hazard lights (Automatic Rear Flashing Hazard Lights), as well as a safe exit assistance system that prevents the door from opening when a car approaches from behind.

AND new body colorBassoon Copper, enriches the color palette of all versions of the UX, while the F Sport Executive can be finished with a two-tone paint with certain shades.
