
Renault is making a big bet on international markets, particularly in Latin America, where the French manufacturer recently unveiled the new Renault Kardian, which will be followed by two new SUVs, also produced in Brazil. The diamond brand also inaugurated its own new design centerlocated in Curitiba, in the south of Brazil.

Renault Design Center LatAm in Brazil: 1,220 m² of space dedicated to creativity
Christened Renault Design Center LatAm, the site is located within the Ayrton Senna complex in São José dos Piñas (Curitiba), close to the group’s three factories in Brazil. This brand new state-of-the-art design center will allow the Renault group to develop cars for the Latin American markets while collaborating on projects from the group’s 4 other design centers around the world.

Renault has invested in numerous equipment, such as an interactive assessment room equipped with a 360º rotating platform and 216-inch high-definition screen, which allows you to represent, model and analyze 3D vehicles at a scale of 1:1. AND open space 500 m² out of sight also allows you to evaluate models and prototypes in daylight.
Another space dedicated to modeling allows you to develop physical prototypes at various scales to materialize 2D designs into 3D designs. AND virtual reality studio viewing creative proposals in 3D in real time is also available. Finally, the Creative Lounge is an open space designed to facilitate team interaction and brainstorming during project development.
The Renault Design Center in Brazil also provides a Social designin collaboration with the Renault Institute: this enables communities in the region to create a range of accessories that reuse the waste of the production process, returning the proceeds to the local community and contributing to the development of a circular economy in the region.
