These models say goodbye to us in 2023 News from Auto Plus in your smartphone News from Auto Plus in your inbox

Quite a clean up by manufacturers this year and the same observation as last year: the ranges are becoming more standardized! Station wagons, sedans, sedans and sports cars are leaving to make way for SUVs, most often electric! Here are the models that have left the catalog this year or are set to do so for the 2024 model year…

Audi R8

The most powerful serial Audi, R8, dropped this year, in the final variation called the R8 V10 GT RWD. Audi, with him, says goodbye to the legendary V10 block ! It may be replaced by a new electric version by 2025-2026.

Audi TT

Same story for his younger sister, TT, who is leaving the scene after an uninterrupted career since 1998. A sad observation: the R8 leaves two fun and sporty models from the Audi line. The future is now 100% electric…

Chrysler 300C

Announcements from this week: Chrysler has just finished production of its legendary 300C sedan, which has been in production in Brampton, Canada since 2011.and even 2005, if we go back to its very first generation. With this model, the Chrysler range, which is already very sad, is impoverished: only the Pacifica minivan remains!

Ford Fiesta

A legendary model for both Ford and Europeans, The Ford Fiesta was discontinued this year after seven consecutive generations since…1976 ! A hell of a loss, pretty incomprehensible on a continent where B-segment city cars like these are still popular. But Ford is “Americanizing” its range in Europe, and the entry level is currently provided by the Puma crossover.

Honda e

Electric entry level from Honda, mini city car e offered a ‘beloved’ design inspired by the city of 1981, and offered some great tech with an all-digital dashboard and camera mirrors. but, too expensiveshe failed to find her audience in Europe…

Kia Rio

As amazing as the Fiesta, Kia canceled its Rio city car this year. The little Picanto and the ‘big’ Ceed remain in the program but the B segment, where it has sat since 2000, is now desperately empty…waiting for the replacement of electricity?

Mercedes-Benz C and E Class cabriolet/coupe

Mercedes-Benz has too many models, and this year began the “cleaning” of its range. Direct consequence: the C- and E-class coupes and their convertible derivatives combined to give birth to the CLE coupe and convertible. From four models, the range now includes two.

Mini Clubman

The historic station wagon, created on the basis of the Mini city car, was discontinued this year. This type of model is no longer very popular, and the appearance of the new Countryman (which has grown significantly) convinced Mini not to offer him direct descendants.

Porsche Panamera Cross Turismo

Here’s what we should remember from the presentation of the all-new Porsche Panamera a few weeks ago its “station wagon” variant called Cross Turismo will not be updated. Another original model that says goodbye.
