Renault 5 E-Tech Electric: opens from all sides
In this series of rather simple images on a white background, we find the design elements of the upcoming electric Renault 5, which resembles the design elements Concept car R5 Prototype introduced in 2021. We find, for example, discs with a design quite close to the concept, but also two charging hatches : we assume that they will be used to provide better proximity to the charging station, whether it is located on the left or right of the parking space, or to provide two different charging sockets for more options.
At the back, two vertical lights are connected by a black element of the body, while we find side mirror in a more classic format and larger than the concept car, mind you front door handles more ordinary, not flushable. We also find the black roof and its red trim, which caused a sensation on the Prototype R5.
See you at the 2024 Geneva Motor Show
The future Renault 5 E-Tech Electric will be fully presented on Geneva Motor Show 2024which will open its doors from February 26 to March 3, 2024, with its first deliveries expected next fall.
It will be based on the AmpR Small (formerly CMF-B EV) platform, which includes up to 70% of the elements of the Clio V, which will allow Renault to reduce its costs: the diamond maker is already announcing a starting price in the range close to 25,000 euros.
At launch, the electric Renault 5 will only be sold with a 52kWh battery range of 400 kilometers according to the WLTP cycle. It will eventually be followed by another version equipped with a smaller 40 kWh battery at a more attractive price.
