The new Mini Cooper SE, which has just been presented, is already available in a sporty version. At least in terms of his appearance. Indeed, if the power of its transmission does not change, then it has a new John Cooper Works treatment, which should surely please fans of the British firm.

So the car is still powered by an electric motor located in the front 218 hp and 330 Nm. from 0 to 100 km/h 6.7 seconds and autonomy declared under the WLTP cycle is 402 km.

We’ll have to wait a bit longer (perhaps 2024) to see a “real” Cooper SE JCW with a more powerful engine, which, if we’re not surprised, should exceed 300 hp. and compete with the upcoming Alpine A290.

All for style

Aesthetically, this model features the John Cooper Works logo in the traditional red, white and black colors, as well as the checkered flag on the grille.

Also note the presence of 18-inch two-tone 10-spoke ‘Lap Spoke’ wheels, JCW brake calipers and colored hood stripes. A contrasting black roof and red mirror caps complete the package.

The most expensive electric Mini?

Inside, the car is equipped with JCW synthetic leather seats with red stitching. We find the same colors on the door panels and on the instrument panel on the passenger side.

Among the “Mini Experience” modes we find the Go-Kart mode, which optimizes the throttle response for more sporty driving.

Prices have not yet been announced. We remind you that the new Mini Cooper is presented from 34,000 euros in the initial version of Essential. For that price, you can benefit from a 184bhp engine and a 40.7kWh battery, giving it a range of up to 305km. The version presented today with a large battery and JCW treatment should surely exceed €50,000.
