There are more and more retro cars in France, with more than a million on the road today, many of which have collector registration papers. However, while these vehicles are very popular among enthusiasts and the simply curious, they are also under threat. Indeed, the proliferation of ZFEs (low emission zones) threatens their existence, while these old cars will be banned from city centres. And this is even with benefits models registered in the collection, in particular in Paris. But this is not the case everywhere at the moment.

New label
Fortunately, the FFVE (French Federation of Vintage Cars) is doing everything it can to protect vintage cars and the interests of their owners. After speaking out in favor of classic cars at the ZFE, the organization recently announced the creation of a brand new program and labeling for French municipalities. The latter is then called ” The city and the countryside welcome vintage cars » and wants to combine tourism and vintage vehicles to protect automotive heritage. But what does it actually consist of?
Great program
This label rewards towns and villages that work to welcome classic cars. There are several ways to obtain the latter, which is granted to municipalities that have car parks that allow these cars to be safely parked, or that grant a grouping permit for local clubs, among other things. The goal is, first of all, to make life easier for owners of classic cars and to encourage them to come to these cities.
