Having revealed its interior to us a few days ago in photographs, the firm from Stuttgart has just presented a new one Porsche Panamera third generation: the sports sedan received a new look, as well as new technologies, including a new suspension system.
Aesthetically, the new Porsche Panamera retains the familiar lines of the previous version with dimensions of 5.05 meters in length, 1.94 meters in width and 1.42 meters in height. The front edge is made more aggressive with larger air intakes at the bottom, a new air intake above the license plate, and new Matrix LED headlights. The profile includes a modified window line, and the rear is distinguished by a horizontal strip that houses the taillights and the Porsche lettering.
Porsche Panamera III: new technologies
The interior highlights technology, with a 12.6-inch curved screen located in front of the driver and acting as an adjustable instrument panel, a 12.3-inch central touch screen for an infotainment system compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and the latter 10.9-inch touch screen located in front of the front passenger.
Under the hood we find a choice 4 E-Hybrid engines, including the Turbo E-Hybrid version, which combines a four-liter V8 turbo engine with an electric motor with a capacity of 190 horsepower, developing a total power of 680 horsepower and 930 Nm of torque. Enough to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds, for a top speed of 315 km/h. Its battery capacity of 25.9 kWh provides an equivalent electric range of up to 91 kilometers in the WLTP combined cycle.
The Panamera and Panamera 4 versions will also feature a turbocharged 2.9-liter V6 engine that has been upgraded for more power: 353 hp and 500 Nm of torque, an increase of 23 hp and 50 Nm, enough to swallow 0 to 100 km/h in 5.1 seconds for a top speed of 272 km/h for the Panamera and 4.8 seconds for 270 km/h for the all-wheel drive Panamera 4.
The new Panamera has a new air suspension with a double chamber and two valves, offering the best compromise between comfort and sportiness. The Porsche Active Ride active suspension system is available as an option and consists of new active shock absorbers, each connected to an electrically controlled hydraulic pump. Sufficient for ultra-fast compensation of the forces arising from the deformation of the road and ensuring better grip with the road at any time.
