Dacia Spring is regularly in the TOP 5 electric car sales in France. His main argument? Its price is obvious, as at the time of writing it is priced at €20,800 list price, excluding the €5,000 eco bonus.

Dacia Spring overwhelmed by competition?

And even if without the environmental bonus, Dacia Spring still has quite favorable prices for electric cars, yet its services are quite far from automotive standards at some points. Despite a welcome update this year, its price will soon cease to be an advantage, especially in the conditions of competition, which will intensify in 2024.

The MG4, Leapmotor T03 or even the BYD Dolphin are also no longer affected by the environmental bonus. As a result, they will not overshadow the spring, which will always be more profitable if the prices do not change.

On the other hand, it must hurt for French manufacturers. Indeed, the famous Citroën ë-C3, which can be purchased from 23,300 euros without bonuses, should cause serious problems in the spring, since it will be cheaper in the base price: from 18,300 euros after deducting the bonusall with better autonomy, better handling and more versatility.

The countdown begins

Next year, Dacia is preparing a new major technical update of its car. Because even if he loses his bonus, he will remain in the French market. However, even if it wins in versatility, it will always fall behind at certain points these famous electric cars for less than 25,000 euros, which are coming.

Because in addition to the Citroën ë-C3, the Renault 5 E-Tech, which will be presented at the Geneva Motor Show in 2024, should arrive in the spring. Unless there’s a big price cut, the little electric Dacia is likely to suffer next year. In any case, as the Dacia website clarifies, if you want spring, we advise you to place your order before December 15 for delivery by March 15, 2024, to take advantage of the environmental bonus for the last time.
