After a somewhat sluggish period, Alfa Romeo is getting back on track and has recently enriched its range with the Tonale, which was launched during the past year. The latter takes the form of a compact SUV, positioned below the Stelvio in the catalog. It is currently available in several petrol and hybrid engines. Because at the moment, we cannot say that the manufacturer is much ahead of electric cars, since it does not offer any model with such an engine. But that should change soon.

Check-in is possible
Indeed, the Italian manufacturer plans to launch its own the first car with zero emissions within the next year, without saying too much at this point. We know that the latter will also be eligible for a plug-in hybrid version, while the first model, available only in an electric version, will see the light of day in a year. But that’s not all, as the firm is also considering launching a EV version of Tonale. But at the moment it is not yet decided, even if it is technically quite possible according to the brand.
What do we know?
Anyway, that’s what Daniel Thiago Guzzafame, Tonale’s product manager, says. The latter actually explains that ” the architecture can technically support a purely electric version but it’s not decided yet“. Recently, the SUV has undergone some changes, including a new suspension and slightly revised steering. We will learn about the electric version a little later…
