There are more and more speed cameras on the roads, that’s a fact. And unfortunately, this is unlikely to improve while the government wants to keep introducing new ones. And above all, he wants them to always be more efficient, so as not to leave the slightest violations unnoticed. Here’s how radar towers will proliferate, as will radars installed in private cars. Which, of course, does not please motorists who create the impression of real cash cows. But it is expected to get worse over time.

Reduced margin

Indeed, this is already happening in Belgium, and especially in Wallonia. The government decided there reduce the radar margin, which is now only 6% for roads over 100 km/h and 6 km/h for others. The goal? Match all tolerances for all radar types to avoid confusion. But it also means that it will be easier to fine for speeding, as the technical tolerance will be reduced. But this is not the end, as recently there are no more errors for radars, at least for some cabins.

And in France?

But, unfortunately, it cannot be ruled out that the government will be inspired by our Belgian neighbors. However, the latter also plans to stop deducting points for minor speed violations of less than 5 km/h. Only time will tell what the state is going to do!
