We know that cars are less and less welcome in Paris. And it is not for nothing that the municipality wants to do everything to make life difficult for motorists and discourage them from driving on the streets of the capital. It passes pedestrianization of many streets as well as various movement restrictions, including installing a ZFE with a Crit’Air sticker. Enough to make life more and more difficult for drivers, especially professionals who don’t really have a choice to go to the center of Paris for deliveries. But Ann Hidalgo wants to go even further.

More than a million cars
Indeed, after organizing a mass vote of citizens to ban electric scooters in Paris, a city councilor wants to do the same for cars. If the ban is not on the agenda for now, Paris City Hall does want to significantly increase the price of parking SUVs, which it blames for all of Earth’s ills. Apparently, this measure was not well received by motorists, which is not a problem Anne Hidalgo maintain your momentum. The ultimate goal is to ban 4X4s and other heavy vehicles from city streets. However, there are still a lot of them.
A high number
Indeed, according to AAA Data, this measure is cause for concern at least 892,336 cars, or 1 car out of 6 in Ile-de-France. We understand better why this is difficult to convey to drivers. Moreover, the price of parking in the capital is already very high, in the central areas – 6 euros per hour. This measure will also apply to electric cars, i.e. at least 18,982 cars, which is 15.5% of the electric fleet of Ile-de-France.
