It has been a few years since the environmental bonus saw the light of day to encourage motorists to choose models that are considered less polluting. If the latter was previously available for gasoline cars, then the conditions were significantly strengthened, since only 100% electric cars now have the right. For the record, they must be under €47,000 and 2.4 tonnes to qualify. But be careful, because by next year everything should change. In fact, the government plans to tighten the screws even more, especially for certain models.

Buy a car without delay
If we still have to wait before knowing the list of models that are suitable for environmental bonus 2024, we already know that cars made in China will be excluded. However, many of them are sold in France at very affordable prices. That’s why it’s important not to delay if you plan to treat yourself to a copy. In particular, we mean the Dacia Spring, currently the cheapest electric car in France. The last one for recording is displayed from 20,800 euros, the bonus is not deducted. But that’s not all, as there’s still government help available if you buy the MG 4 currently on display from 27,490 euros. A price that defies any competition in the compact electric segment, especially because it offers a very satisfactory service overall.
Available models
You can also aim for the MG5, which is nothing more than a wagon version, as well as MG Marvel, is also concerned. You can also opt for the Tesla Model 3, which starts at €42,990 and is eligible for an environmental bonus of €5,000 until January 1 thanks to its production in China and the United States. Other models are also worth looking at before you can no longer claim government assistance. This is, for example, the case of the Kia Niro and e-Soul, as well as the Mazda MX-30, produced in Japan. The Nissan Leaf will also lose the subsidy next year, as will the Smart #1 and the new Volvo EX30, introduced a few months earlier.
