If you have a Renault or Dacia that runs on LPG, soon your car will have to go to the garage.

Several cars from both brands will be recalled, according to information provided by Rappel Conso, a website specializing in dangerous product alerts. due to fire hazard.

Important reminder?

The recall notice was issued on Friday, November 10 and only applies to vehicles equipped with a liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) tank. This recall affects Renault models Clio V and Captur II sold between February 6 and July 3, 2023.

On the part of Dacia, models were affected Duster, Logan III and Sandero III on sale from February 6 to June 13, 2023.

The cause of this recall is a manufacturing defect related to improper welding of the LPG tank. This defect can cause gas to escape into the cabin, creating a fire risk, explains Rappel Conso.

The product will also not comply with the regulations regarding the approval and market surveillance of vehicles and their trailers, as well as systems, components and individual technical elements intended for these vehicles.
