Renault will soon have the R5 E-Tech and the R4, two “remakes” of two historic models in a 100% electric version, but there will also be a smaller model that this time should good to be offered below €25,000.
As Reuters reports, the new Renault will be presented in the coming days at an event for the Ampere division of the French brand.
First information
Early rumors suggest that this little Renault will be shorter than the R5 E-Tech and will be built at the factory in Nové Mesto, Slovenia. It will go into production in 2026 and could become one of the most important models in the line. As a reminder, Renault plans to produce 600,000 electric cars per year by 2026 and one million by 2031.
So far there is no information about its technical characteristics, design and built-in technologies, but in any case it should be positioned in the A segment, which involves starting price around €20,000 to €25,000. Enough to take on, in particular, the upcoming Citroën ë-C3 from €19,900, arriving in 2025.
2024 is a busy year for Renault
2024 will be a key year for Renault with the presentation and marketing of the famous R5 E-Tech. At the same time, Renault will also launch the marketing of the Scénic E-Tech, also an all-electric model.
By the end of this year, we should see the production version of the Renault 4Ever concept car, a modern 4L that should enter the B segment of 100% electric SUVs.
As for thermal models, the diamond firm will also launch the Rafale Coupé SUV, a model that will not be offered in electric form, but with hybrid units, the most powerful of which will develop up to 300 hp.
