Obviously, owning a car is synonymous with freedom and independence. Thus, we can go anywhere without any restrictions and do not depend on anyone. But it is also associated with some limitations. Indeed, it is important to keep your car in good condition so that it does not pose a danger to other road users and, above all, that it does not break down. To do this, it is important to perform maintenance on time, but above all, to replace worn parts when necessary. And this especially applies to tires.

Increased consumption

They tend to get worse over time and become smoother. That is why it is important to replace them regularly. And this applies to thermal cars, but also, of course, for electric models. In fact, the latter will even consume more rubber than their internal combustion equivalents. In any case, that’s what Epyx, a British company responsible for managing car fleets for businesses, explains. And she explains that on electricity you need to change tires more often.

More wear and tear

In fact, the first tire change occurs after 28,950 kilometers, i.e. 551 days of useYou electric car, compared to 39,000 km km for the model with heat. Or 670 days of use. So, the big difference, which we owe, in particular, to the greater weight of the zero-emission models due to the mass of the battery. This leads to premature tire wear and forces drivers to change them more often.
