Volkswagen has been one of the world leaders in the production of wagons for more than 60 years: the German firm has until now offered its family of wagons under the name Variant or Shooting Brake, but the first 100% electric wagon of the brand will be called Volkswagen ID.7 Tourerand will be launched in 2024.
To help us wait, the German manufacturer presents the first images of the wagon version of the ID.7 Tourer, which still features camouflage in autumn colors inspired by the multi-layered paintwork of the ID.7 sedan and the corresponding colors of summer. This camouflage reveals the lines of the ID.7 Tourer, the rear of which differs from the sedan version.

To design the Volkswagen ID.7 Tourer,Aerodynamics lines have been carefully designed to ensure great autonomy: just like the ID.7 sedan, which exhibits a coefficient of drag (Cd) of 0.23, the ID.7 Tourer is almost as efficient, with Cx 0.24.
Thanks to short overhangs and an extended wheelbase, the interior of the ID.7 Tourer offers optimal space for passengers. The trunk has capacity 545 liters with five people on board, counting up to the height of the back of the rear seat. By folding the seats, you can reach the cargo volume 1714 litersalmost two meters long.
The launch is planned for 2024
Like all 100% electric models of the ID. family, the Volkswagen ID.7 Tourer is based on MEB platform (Modularer E-antriebs Baukasten) of the Volkswagen concern. This modular system makes it possible to optimize the layout of the interior: thus the ID.7 Tourer is an elegant and spacious high-class station wagon with a sufficient number of things in the trunk.
There will be a Volkswagen ID.7 Tourer on the European market in 2024 : you will have to wait a few more months to discover it in detail and without colorful camouflage. ID.7 Tourer will be made in Germany, at the Volkswagen plant in Emden, like the ID.7 sedan. The ID.7 is the second model on the MEB platform to be produced in northwest Lower Saxony after the ID.4.
