On this occasion, Lexus confirms its commitment to sell only electric cars until 2035, with the appearance of many new models. To help us wait, the Lexus booth at the Japan Mobility Show 2023 has a few new products on display, including a 100% electric concept car: an SUV Lexus LF-ZL (By Lexus Future Luxury with zero emissions), which is a preview of the future high-end model from Lexus.
Lexus LF-ZL: luxury 100% electric SUV
Stretching The length is 5.30 metersAt 2.02 meters wide and 1.70 meters tall, all with a 3.35 meter wheelbase, the LF-ZL is an SUV with rather fluid proportions that maximize space on board to ensure the comfort of its occupants. Lexus LF-ZL is equipped with an engine 100% electric, but Lexus did not provide any additional information on the matter. Future electric cars of the new generation of the brand will be equipped advanced high performance batteries, featuring a prismatic structure to increase range while reducing weight to maximize vehicle efficiency and battery performance. The floor-mounted battery provides a low center of gravity for better driving dynamics. These technologies come from the development of the Lexus RZ, for example Direct4 all-wheel drive as well as electric steering Steer-by-Wire.
Full of technology
Inside, Lexus has designed a futuristic four-person cabin with striking bamboo door trim enlivened by LED lighting. The dashboard highlights the technology with a many screens floating: two small touchscreens surround the rectangular steering wheel, including one on the left that acts as a gear selector and one on the right that provides access to useful functions, the digital instrument panel at the top, not forgetting the large panoramic touchscreen that also brings benefit to the front passenger. Finally, the front of the center console also has an additional touch screen that allows you to control additional functions such as the air conditioning.
Whole new operating system“Arena OS”, is: equippedArtificial Intelligence, and is also capable of learning and anticipating user needs for enhanced personalization of the driving experience. An augmented reality experience is also offered, which allows the driver to point out objects or places of interest during the journey: the car’s screen provides quick access to information accompanied by voice instructions.
