The Paris Motor Show has been losing momentum for several years now. However, this is not because we tried to change the formula by adapting to any mobility during the last edition, but the observation was generally the same for the press and visitors: there was a serious lack of cars.
Most European manufacturers did not consider it necessary to participate in this edition, so the places were partially occupied by manufacturers that are still little known on our continent, such as VinFast, Leapmotor or even BYD… These Asian manufacturers, whom Europe intends to annoy, should take advantage of the absence their competitors to show their know-how to the eyes of visitors and curious people.
In spite of everything, the previous edition lacked a bit of “dream”, i.e. pure and ardent automotive passion, with beautiful mechanics, even if the organization managed to “restore” in some way, in particular by installing a stand dedicated to the largest automotive YouTube channel in France with Vilebrequin and its famous 1000Tipla, which no doubt attracted several thousand additional visitors.
The 2024 WC is more car-oriented
Alternately, the Munich Motor Show, The Paris Motor Show will return in 2024. This has just been confirmed by an organization that seems to have heeded the criticism and focused its communication more on cars than on mobility in the literal sense.
“With a year to go before it opens to the public, we can’t wait to raise the curtain on the 2024 FIFA World Cup, which in its 90th yearthousand edition, will be more popular and festive than ever. We are working on an even more exciting and attractive experience for visitors”explains Serge Gaschaud, director of Mondial de l’Auto.
“We are the first European event dedicated to cars, which are at the heart of our daily mobility. We want to combine innovation with the emotions and pleasure that the car brings to all our visitors. »
Target an even wider audience
In 2024, the Paris Motor Show will take place from Monday 14 to Sunday 20 October 2024in the heart of the Porte de Versailles, for seven days, and in the five halls of the Parc Expo.
It seems that the organization wants to target a very wide audience, including “A new experience that will fascinate car enthusiasts, young tech-addicts and city dwellers, families and professionals who have come specifically to discover the latest developments in the industry. »
