We remember, in particular, the numerous and spectacular demonstrations by taxi drivers who protested against the arrival Uber Pop service we. The latter was finally removed. But this does not prevent transporters from opposing the American company for many years.

A major lawsuit

Indeed, the California-based company is currently still in turmoil, this time in France, Once is not the custom. And it is not for nothing that large-scale legal actions have been launched against the San Francisco-based company. But what is it about? Well, no less than 2,480 taxi and transport companies decided to attack Uber. And the latter demand at least 456 million euros in compensation. But what is the reason for such great anger on the part of transporters? Well, the latter simply accuse Uber of unfair competition.

Fraud?

Taxis accuse the company of defrauding the state 3.8 billion euros in tax revenues since his arrival in France. The fact that its employees are not considered employees is in question. Therefore, transporters ask, in particular, to requalify the latter. According to them, ” we do the same job as Uber, we transport people. But on unfair terms“. For its part, the American firm denies the facts, but may be obliged to pay a large compensation.
