Volkswagen is launching pre-orders for the new evolution of its car Volkswagen ID.4 and ID.5 : the two 100% electric SUVs now feature a new generation of infotainment, and the engines have been revised and optimized to deliver more power and better autonomy.

Volkswagen ID.4 and ID.5: technical innovations

The interior of the Volkswagen ID.4 and ID.5 received the latest generation on-board software, as well as a a new infotainment systemwhich has a larger screen 12.9 inches and a new menu structure. The digital cockpit and augmented reality head-up display have also been improved, while the touch-sensitive sliders for air conditioning and volume control have been illuminated, and the multifunction steering wheel has been updated.

THE gearbox selector disappears from the dash to integrate into the right steering wheel switch while new IDA Voice Assistant made his appearance. As an option, customers will also be able to get a new 480-watt Harman Kardon premium audio system with 10 speakers, including a center speaker and a subwoofer.

More power and autonomy

Volkswagen ID.4 and ID.5 are equipped Battery 77 kWh adopt a new high-efficiency electric motor as well as a new generation battery that makes it possible to offer 286 horsepower and 545 Nm of torqueor 82 horsepower and 235 Nm more than the previous ID.4 and ID.5 Pro versions!

All ID.4 and ID.5 models, equipped with a new 77 kWh battery, now have more autonomy: the ID.4 Pro offers 550 kilometers of autonomy according to the WLTP combined cycle or 17 kilometers better, while the ID.5 Pro now offers 556 kilometers of autonomyan increase of 11 kilometers.

Recharging should also be faster, with power 175 kW on models with all-wheel drive, instead of 135 kW. Enough to restore 178 kilometers of autonomy in about 10 minutes. The basic version of the ID.4 Pure with a 52 kWh battery is now compatible with a charging power of 115 kW (instead of 110 kW).
