Speeding at least a little bit happens to everyone. Actually, that is why the government plans to stop deducting points for overtaking less than 5 km/h. Because it only takes a moment of inattention for the radar to immortalize us with its flash. But it is true that some people abuse it more than others, thinking that they are on the highway and risking the danger of all other road users. This is exactly the case for our champion of the day, who should remember his little trip for a long time.
Reflections on the project to no longer remove points from the driver’s license of drivers guilty of minor speed violations continue! https://t.co/w2bQX7OYx4

Almost 200 km/h
The event happened a few days ago, around 5:45 p.m. on the A36 highway. There, the police monitor the road and control the speed. Suddenly, they see a BMW M3 speeding away. And not for nothing, there is a sports car flashed at 197 km/h in the area with a limit of 130 km/h. Without thinking, the police jumped into their Alpine A110 and chased after the driver. The latter was intercepted a few kilometers further. And there the police also discovered that he was on a conditional license.
License suspended
The 25-year-old driver only had a driver’s license less than three years and therefore usually should not exceed 110 km/h. As a result, his BMW M3 was impounded and will remain there pending a court decision. The young man was also deprived of his rights. Enough for him to remember that day and that speeding at such high speeds can be very expensive. Needless to say, he shouldn’t be doing that again anytime soon!
