Renault 1.6 E-Tech Hybrid: malfunction of electrical equipment
The damage comes from the electrical unit of the 1.6 E-Tech Hybrid engine, as well as a Onduflex washing machine. which is located between the electric motor and the gearbox. Renault wants to reassure its customers and has identified the models that may be affected by such an anomaly to take care of them.
In general, 153,981 cars are subject to a new recall campaign called “special technical operation” (OTS) by the diamond brand and has the number 0E2M. There are models Renault Clio, Captur, Mégane and Arkanaall of them are powered by the 1.6 E-Tech Hybrid engine, whether it’s a simple hybrid or a plug-in hybrid.
153,981 copies at the time of recall
The date of manufacture of the models is indicated in the period from April 29, 2020 to April 13, 2023, about 3 years. Owners of affected vehicles will be notified by post or email and are invited to contact their Renault dealer for assistance in rectifying the situation.

The intervention, which will last about 1 hour and 30 minutes, consists in reprogramming the hybrid engine computers that control the electric car. Renault, however, does not provide its customers with a rental car during this relatively short intervention.
