
After Paris last year, Brussels at the beginning of the year and recently Munichit’s Lyon’s turn to host the next big gathering of motorists and enthusiasts. Since 1983 and its first editionit takes place every odd-numbered year, historically replacing the Paris Salon, which takes place in even-numbered years. But since the manufacturers decided to make up the numbers in Paris (the sad edition of 2022 shows this), Lyon, on the other hand, seems to be becoming a new show not to be missed. The 2023 edition, which will be held from September 28 to October 2, will be no exception and will present a very busy program…
About fifty manufacturers are present
A large part of the event will be devoted to exhibition of new models on an area of more than 20,000 m2, about fifty car manufacturers are expected. In details: ABARTH, AIWAYS, AIXAM, ALFA ROMEO, ALPINE, AMG, ASTON MARTIN, AUDI, BENTLEY, BMW, BYD, CITROEN, CUPRA, DACIA, DEVALLIET, DS, FERRARI, FIAT, FORD, HONDA, HYUNDAI, JEEP, KIA, LAMBORGHINI, LEAPMOTOR, LIGIER, LEXUS, LOTUS, MASERATI, MAZDA, MCLAREN, MERCEDES, MG, MICROLINO, MINI, MITSUBISHI, NISSAN, OPEL, PEUGEOT, PORSCHE, RENAULT, SEAT, SKODA, SMART, SUBARU, SUZUKI, TESLA, TOYOTA, VINFAST, VOLKSWAGEN, VOLVO. Visitors will also have the possibility of conducting tests among about 350 cars, in real conditions around the exhibition site. finally, motorsport will have a dedicated space of 5,000 m2to come and admire cult or even legendary models.
An important place is given to eco-mobility
A large part of the event will be devoted to ecological transition, and together with them, numerous challenges that the car will have to answer in the future. First is recovery: a very large space will be allocated for used vehicles. Visitors will have the opportunity to approach, admire the selected and tested models, and leave them “turnkey”. Most of the major automotive distribution groups will be present to ensure a wide selection.
Efforts will also be made for eco-mobility : bicycles, e-bikes, scooters and various other forms of soft mobility will be presented and tested indoors on a special test track. Mini carts and modders will also be there. Finally, as always at exhibitions of this type, sellers of spare parts and accessories will offer their services. The Lyon Motor Show will take place from September 28 to October 2 at Eurexpo. Count 7 euros for an adult ticket online (€8 on site), children under 12 years old are free.
