It gets harder and harder to fill as the weeks go by. In fact, the price of fuel continues to rise, increasing by an average of more than 16 cents since the beginning of the summer. And it doesn’t have to end yet, as growth continues unabated. And this at a time when oil-producing countries reduced their exports. Result, prices are rising everywhere and motorists now more than ever are forced to tighten their seat belts. To the point that they have to cut back on travel or even food.

A controversial measure

But there is no doubt that the government will make the slightest gesture when we know that one of the solutions will be to cut taxes. By the way, taxes are currently presented 60% of the price of a liter of fuel. Instead, the state decided to introduce a law that allows distributors to sell their fuel at a loss. Which is usually prohibited since 1963. But they obviously unanimously and categorically refuse, arguing that it is financially unjustified. Also, it won’t save much for customers.

Possible obligation

But then is it possible that the government will force gas stations lower prices, up to unprofitable sales? In theory, no, since companies are free to set whatever prices they want. But we know that the state wants to adopt a law for that restore prices urgently, in conditions of inflation. But there will be no question of obligations again. In any case, the government refuses to make the slightest effort and wants to keep up the pressure on the distributors.
