Indeed, the minister noted that only the five most polluted large cities, viz Paris, Marseille, Lyon, Strasbourg AND Rouen, will have to adhere to the initial schedule for the implementation of the SEZ. This schedule involves a ban on the movement of vehicles Criterion 3 from January 1, 2025, that is, a ban on diesel engines until 2011 and gasoline until 2006.

As for the other metropolitan areas affected by the ZFE, the schedule was as follows relaxed The latter will be able to wait until 2030 before implementing the ZFE.

Brake in Bordeaux

It is in this context Metropolis of Bordeaux just announced the postponement of his EPZ. Alain Anzianithe president of Bordeaux Métropole admitted during a press conference that:

As a reminder, nothing prevents the metropolis of Bordeaux from adhering to the strictest ZFE schedule before the deadline. However, given the statements, the latter will not appear immediately!
