With the new Subaru Solterrathe Japanese manufacturer is launching electric vehicles, and Subaru is relying on its partner Toyota to build its new electric SUV on the e-TNGA platform, which also powers the Toyota bZ4X and Lexus RZ.
After its launch in various markets around the world as well as in Europe, the Subaru Solterra is now arriving in France and taking advantage Show in Lyon 2023 to make its first foray by opening its order book to French customers.
Subaru Solterra: Debut at the 2023 Lyon Motor Show
Technically, the model has a double electric motor that develops power 218 horsepower (160 kW) and offers four-wheel drive. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes 6.9 seconds, and the maximum speed is limited to 160 km/h. The Subaru Solterra is offered in France with a fairly basic range consisting of two configurations under the name “Comfort” and “Lux”. From the initial level Comfortstandard equipment is rich, with LED headlights, electric driver’s seat, heated front seats, hands-free, electric parking brake, dual-zone automatic air conditioning, 7-inch digital instrument panel, multimedia system with 12.3-inch touch screen and compatibility with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as a good set of driver assistance systems and active and passive safety systems.
Version Luxury adds additional comfort equipment to the battery, such as an electric passenger seat, a panoramic glass roof, 20-inch wheels, heated rear seats, a heated steering wheel, TEP upholstery, an induction charger or even a Harman Kardon audio system.
Orders are open in France
Orders for the Subaru Solterra are now open, and in terms of pricing, you’ll have to expect a starting price from €59,990 for the Comfort version, while the Luxury trim costs from €63,990.
THE Lyon Motor Show will open its doors for 5 days, with September 28 – October 2, 2023, at Eurexpo Lyon. This year, five worlds will be highlighted during the event: new cars, used cars, ecological mobility, motorsport, as well as services and accessories.
