
THE Renault Traffic is a bona fide bestseller that has sold over 2.4 million copies since 1980. The new generation Trafic Van is now offered in a 100% electric version, with the appearance Renault Trafic Van E-Tech Electricwhich complements Renault’s electric SUV range, which also includes the Renault Kangoo Van E-Tech Electric and Master E-Tech Electric.
The Renault Trafic Van E-Tech Electric will be manufactured in France this year, at the Sandouville plant in Seine-Maritime, which also produces thermal versions of the French SUV, as well as the Nissan Primastar. Today, almost 600 Renault Trafics leave the production lines in Sandouville every day, or one Trafic every 80 seconds. The electric motor, as well as the chargers, are manufactured at the Renault plant in Cleon, Normandy, and the battery is assembled in Fleins, Ile-de-France.
Renault Trafic Van E-Tech Electric: 2 lengths and 2 heights
Renault Trafic Van E-Tech Electric offers numerous versions to meet the needs of all professional customers: the catalog offers a choice between two lengths (5.08 m and 5.48 m) and two heights (1967 m and 2498 m), cargo volume (in van mode) from 5.8 m3 to 8.9 m3.
On the extended “L2” version with a “long loading” hatch located in the bulkhead, the Trafic Van E-Tech Electric offers a cargo length of up to 4.15 meters, while the load capacity is 920 kg with a payload of 1.1 tonnes.
The model is also available with a cabin floor and numerous customization options made possible by a network of over 359 approved bodybuilders.
Electric range up to 322 km
This 100% electric version has a lithium-ion battery with a warranty of 8 years or 160,000 km, capacity 52 kW/hwhich gives him the autonomy to go up to 297 km in the WLTP cycle.
Electric motorization is developing 122 horsepower and 245 Nm of torque, with an Eco mode that limits the car’s power to optimize autonomy. The “long range” version is limited to 90 km/hautonomy 322 km.
For recharging, Renault offers a 7 kW single-phase AC charger, as well as a 22 kW AC charger, which allows you to restore 50 km of range in less than 25 minutes. AND Fast charger 50 kW direct current will launch next year to offer even faster recharges.
Orders for the Renault Trafic Van E-Tech Electric in L2 versions (Van H1 and H2, floor cab and double cab) will open in October, with first deliveries are expected in November 2023. The L1 versions (Van H1 and double cab) will be available in November, with first deliveries in December 2023.
