Dacia wished simplify this process for its users and has partnered with NNG, a specialist in GPS navigation and infotainment systems, to offer an easy way to update on-board GPS maps using your smartphone.
More practical map updates
Easy to use,Dacia Map Update smartphone application allows the brand’s customers to select, purchase or download the latest versions of maps of different regions of the world directly to their mobile devices.
Then simply connect the phone to the multimedia system using the USB cable, open the Dacia Map Update application and download the required maps directly to the Dacia Media Nav system. The upgrade now takes 15 minutes, a real time-saver compared to the previous method, which required the use of a computer and a USB drive.
The first updates are free for 3 years
The first 6 updates are free, up to two updates per year for 3 years. At the end of this 3-year period, the customer will be able to purchase only those cards that he wishes to update in his vehicle.
The Dacia Map Update smartphone app is now available for download from the Google Play Store for Android devices and will soon be available on the Apple App Store for iOS devices.
The map update feature with this smartphone app is compatible with Dacia vehicles equipped with Media Nav and Android Auto.
