
Renault Kangoo, produced in a circulation of more than 4.4 million units and sold in 50 countries of the world, has been winning over families and professionals for 25 years.
The third generation of the MPV, released in 2021, has now been enriched with a new elongated version equipped with 7 independent modular seats: Renault Grand Kangoopresented at the 2023 Munich Motor Show.
Renault Grand Kangoo: more space on board
For its Grand Kangoo, Renault promises the best interior space in its class 3 seats in the second row and 2 seats in the third, allowing to comfortably accommodate up to 7 adults. Access to rank 3 is facilitated by two sliding doors 83 cm, 18 cm wider compared to the regular Kangoo, as well as low door sills and retractable 2nd row seats that make it easier for passengers to get in and out.
Of course, children also enjoy complete safety, with the possibility of installing a car seat using Isofix mounts. The modularity is exemplary, with 1024 seat configurations possible: you can slide, fold, retract or even remove each of the rear seats. The front passenger seat also folds down to access the The loading length is 3.11 meters in general.
In the back there is a 500-liter trunk in a 7-seater configuration, which can reach up to 3750 liters with the rear seats removed and the front passenger seat folded down. As standard, the Grand Kangoo comes with a large glazed tailgate, but you can also opt for two hinged and glazed rear doors that make everyday use easier.
Thermal and electric engines
Under the hood of the Grand Kangoo, two thermal engines will be offered: TCe gasoline unit with a capacity of 130 horsepowerequipped with a 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed EDC automatic transmission, and 95 horsepower dCi diesel engineequipped with a 6-speed manual transmission.
A 100% electric version will also be there, with Grand Kangoo E-Tech Electric : this one is motorized 122 horsepower and 245 Nm of torque, as well as a 45 kWh battery that offers up to Range of 265 km in the WLTP cycle.
Orders for the Renault Grand Kangoo will be open for the end of 2023at prices to be announced by Renault at a later date, with first deliveries expected in early 2024. Until then, the model will be presented to the public at the Munich Motor Show, which opens its doors. from September 5 to 10, 2023.
