
“Volkswagen was forced to stop production of the T-Roc at the Setubal plant due to a lack of engine components,” the German press agency Deutsche Presse-Agentur (DPA) reported, based on an internal memo received by 5,000 workers at the plant. According to the memo, it is about a lack of engine components. The production shutdown is expected to last several weeksand restart in the first half of this month of September.
Are other models besides the T-Roc also affected?
As reported by the DPA agency, it may also affect other models. The problem arose because of one of Volkswagen’s suppliers in Slovenia, which was affected by the floods that hit the country. With many other models using the same engines and based on the same chassis as the T-Roc, the rest of the group’s plants may suffer the same fate in the coming weeks.
