Last year, to ride the wave of electric micro-city cars initiated by Wuling Hongguang Mini EV, a Chinese manufacturer Geely launched Panda Mini EV under the Geometry brand, but integrated into the Geely lineup.
If you don’t like the childish look of the Panda Mini EV, Geely has just unveiled a new version of its small electric vehicle equipped with an adventurous look: Panda Knight !
Panda Knight: A more adventurous style
Make no mistake: despite its style, Panda Knight lacks bandwidth. But most of its buyers won’t care, because the latest SUVs and other popular crossovers on the market don’t have them either!
Compared to the base electric car Panda Mini, the Panda Knight has new wheels, a front grille with a more robust look, fenders and door sill extensions made of black plastic, plastic shields equipped with yellow hooks, matching hood handles, roof rails, side ladder or even a black plastic rear roof spoiler.
Power reserve up to 200 km
Despite its small dimensions, Panda Knight can accommodate up to 4 passengers, with the rear seats folded, the trunk volume is up to 800 liters. We find there a 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system9.2-inch digital instrument panel, air conditioning or even specific colors and leatherette seat upholstery.
Under the hood of the Geely Panda Knight is an electric motor 41 horsepower and 110 Nm of torque. This is powered by a 17kWh LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) battery which allows autonomy of 200 km according to the Chinese CLTC homologation cycle.
It should be priced higher than the top-of-the-range Panda Mini EV, which is priced at 56,900 yuan, which is equivalent toabout 7200 euros.
