Since the beginning of summer, the price of fuel has risen sharply and reached unprecedented prices at some gas stations. Indeed, one of them even exceeded the bar of 2.70 euros. And this is even if the price of a barrel of oil will be significantly lower than the 140 euros recorded at the beginning of the war in Ukraine. But what then explains this incredible increase in prices at the gas station? You can call a small increase in oil prices, but first of all state taxesas well as distributor margins, which would be too high in the opinion of certain driver protection associations.

Indeed, the tricolor company, which already offered several discounts on the price of a liter last year, announced in a press release that the fuel will be limited in this way until the end of the year. This is stated by the grouptoday, 2,200 service stations out of 3,400 have already benefited from this measure, as the price of at least one fuel is currently limited to €1.99/litre“. Good news for motorists across the country!
