
The football team of Bayern Munich received new company cars for the 2023/2024 season from the official partner Audi. Employees of the German manufacturer handed them the keys to the all-electric models at the Audi Piazza in Ingolstadt, and the updated cars of last season’s stars will soon be back on sale as old ones.

FC Bayern Munich: 100% electric models for players
From models delivered to players, we find the Audi RS E-tron GT, the Audi Q8 E-tron, the Audi Q8 Sportback E-tron, as well as the Audi Q4 Sportback E-tron. The most popular model among FC Bayern players is the Audi RS E-tron GT, chosen by twelve players including Thomas Muller, Leroy Sane and Joshua Kimmich.
The Audi RS E-tron GT produces a total power of 598 horsepower and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds. Its high-voltage battery provides a range of 488 km and is quickly charged thanks to 800-volt technology. The German club has an optimal e-mobility infrastructure, p 38 charging stations installed in the club grounds on Säbener Straße, and more 20 charging stations at the Allianz Arena.
THE players’ cars from the previous season will soon be resold as used vehicles : customers will receive a certificate of authenticity and a t-shirt signed by the previous owner. Among the restored cars that will be up for sale are several Audi RS E-tron GTs, which were owned by Serge Gnabry and Leon Goretzka, among others. Interested buyers will be able to request a reservation at the next IAA Mobility exhibition in Munich, which will be held from September 5 to 10, 2023.
Meetings with football fans
During the handover of vehicle keys, which took place on August 23, 2023. about thirty employees of the brand had the opportunity to meet the stars of the German champion club. Also along the path of the players to the delivery point, the children of the employees lined up. Football stars took the time to sign autographs and take selfies with their fans.
The team then took a behind-the-scenes tour of Audi’s headquarters in Ingolstadt, including the assembly line, body shop, lighting support center and even the wind tunnel center. Currently, the German plant is preparing for serial production of the Audi Q6 E-tron.
Audi is partner of FC Bayern Munich since 2002, a partnership that was recently extended to 2029. The brand is also a partner of FC Bayern’s women’s team from 2021 and has also extended this deal until at least 2025. Audi has also been a shareholder of FC Bayern München AG since 2011.
