This is one of four unique examples of the Rolls-Royce Droptailordered by a client who has remained anonymous but who is represented by a British firm as “A philanthropist whose family business grew from a gem boutique to a multi-national corporation with diverse interests”. The wealthy owner received his new car at a private event in Gstaad, Switzerland.
Rolls-Royce Amethyst Droptail: a unique example
A Coachbuild model was signed inspired by the amethyst gemstone, an eternal symbol of purity, clarity and stability, and celebrates the cultural heritage of its client’s home region. We detect a two-tone paint which combines the purple shade of ‘Globe Amaranth’ with a silver shade, complemented by fine flecks of aluminum powder that reflect light and create an iridescent finish. On the top of the car, the dark contrasting Amethyst Purple paint contains a mixture of red, blue and purple mica flakes, which together create a unique color with subtle metallic shimmers.
This color is also found inside the 22-inch wheels as well as the inserts carbon fiber were custom made for the occasion with a fine amethyst coating. The grille is also unique, with a hand-polished finish, while the lower front air intake is made from 202 polished stainless steel ingots and hand-painted in Globe Amaranth.
