The invention was born in 2018 yearWhen privatization of paid parking violations, which allowed a number of municipalities to intensify the operation of parking meters. And do it juicy ! A jackpot that, unlike the old system, goes into the pockets of communes. And who is flying away: 157 million euros in 2018, we rose – after the Covid brackets – to 272 million in 2021. And in 2022? These plums are city champions

A billion euros in 2023?
If it has not yet been reached in 2022, including all cities for which we lack data, then billion euros of revenue related post-parking packages (FPS) will undoubtedly be greatly exceeded in 2023. And it is not for nothing that everything contributes to a sharp increase in income: where it develops (by a simple decision voted for by the municipal council), FPS prices in general are going up; the number of payment places increases; at the same time, management tools are being modernized at a rapid pace.
40 cities use “scanners”…and others will follow them. Some use only one, others several. In all cases, the operation is the same: automatic tablet readers from these cars, all registrations are scanned and then a request is sent to the server where all current payments are stored.
As soon as a defective vehicle is spotted, photographs are taken and the information is passed on to an agent who makes, at a distance, FPS to chain.
